[Reflective & Contemplative Poem Collection] -
Quest is a reflection of our ‘journey in life’ with some thoughts on the questions that arise for us all, along with some ‘reminders’ to encourage and support the adventure. Sometimes, we can have a hard time realising how we are ‘energy’, ‘enough’, ‘loved’, ‘transformative’ and ‘sublime’. I hope this provides a timely and kindly reminder for someone that needs it.Show more

This poem was written on 28th February 2023 and will form part of a collection that I refer to as 'Reflective & Contemplative’ which normally contains ‘an Analytical and Pensive blend of observation ditties’!

‘Quest’

Well, the big question asked ….
“Why are we here?”
Who do we consult with?
Do we need a ‘seer’?

I don’t think so …

What do you feel?

Right so –

Let’s ask another question ….

“What in life gives you zeal?”

A question to pause with,
As we oft ‘bury our passions’
Only letting ourselves ‘be’
With them …. sometimes …..’
Like a body surviving on ‘half-rations’!!

So again ….. “What in life gives you zeal?”
Makes it real?

If we are in fact four bodies combined …
Mental, Physical, Emotional, Spiritual
Explore within you, which is your most defined.
And which other aspects may
Need some work … or, to be ‘refined’?

Remember, we all have full ‘innate ability’/
It’s only inhibited by ‘conditioned rigidity’ …..
… what do I mean by that? …
It’s just how we do or don’t cope with life’s spats!
And that has arisen as we’ve lived our ‘fragility’.

But you know ‘actually’ …
‘we are more than the sum of our life’s experiences’ …
…. We are eternal beings, just here on a visit.
And we are here, in truth, to be delirious.
To live in joy, to give with ease,
To love and laugh, to overcome every unease, all earth’s dis-ease.

God, ‘you imagine’, wouldn’t it feel great
If our life was ‘such a breeze’?!!

Mind shift.
Doesn’t sit?
Balance …..
Recalibrate …
Where does this fit?

Well, it is a lifelong journey!!

So pause…., take another breath,
Give it time …..
Feel it ‘flit’ about in your being.
Let, or don’t let?
No …. And yet …. Yes?!

Are you feeling a little remembrance of zeal?
Or just having ‘a reaction’ for distraction?
Consider that as you ‘seek’ the ‘feel’
As you unearth, rediscover, reactivate,
Uncover your passions and zeal.

Sometimes we get, so ‘waylaid’
We need a little ‘Divine Intervention’
To help us move on, and out of our
‘involuntary, life-detention’!

If this is useful – give it some attention.
Go ask – seek some intercession.

For me a short prayer, I composed in the past,
A ‘call out’. A ‘fervent shout’:-

“Lord, let me, be the me, You and I, want me to be.”
…. And so it is.

Look, sure amn’t I now the ‘biz’!!
Ha, ha, ha. Chuckle, Chuckle. No Cuckle!!

You know a number of key points:-

One: You are energy – a light giving shaft
And no, I’m not being daft!!

Two: You are Enough.
… just as you are
Enough … you hear?
Just as you are.

Three: You are loved … beyond all imagination -
No hush. This is an important revelation.
You are loved … beyond all imagination.
Own it, feel it, it’s loving elation.

Four: ‘Energy cannot be destroyed,
it can only be transformed.’
So, as wise book quotes-
‘seek to transmute any mutations
back into their original perfection’.

Five: … this is no joke … lose the ‘yoke’
The shackle’s of time …..
The Fifth is … ‘You are sublime’.

So, with that an all these ideas
Let’s now end this, un-rhyming rhyme
With a little recap:-

Who am I?
Why am I here?
Well …. We can figure it out …
That’s the quest!
Go look inwards to rediscover your zeal.
Nurture it, …. Befriend it, ….. Wait see ….
What does it reveal? ……

Go …., remember ….,
You are Godly, God’s child and blessed.
Live your zeal, give it your best.
That. That is the quest.
