Pruning Time

That's right, I'm intentionally removing numerous branches that could each produce abundant fruit! 🍇

One of the strategies used by nearby farmers to ensure an upcoming harvest of flavorful, low-mold fruit is branch-thinning. If branch density is too high, the root's water & nutrient supply to the branches is limited and there will be insufficient airflow between the developing grape clusters.

For years, I've been quite busy with projects, businesses, activities, and doing cultural norms. However, I've often felt alone & unique with a few struggles:
- Overwhelm
- Depression
- Self-medication (usually through Bread & Circus)
- Seeking peer affirmation

For the local vineyards, it's pruning season. ✂️ I figure it's a great time to perform some personal pruning so future fruit will be enriched for my King.

The one who formed man from the dust of the earth says to "Seek First The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness". (Matthew 6:33).

In the coming days, I'll be decluttering in the areas of time commitments and possessions. I'm still searching scripture for the full meaning of this, but here's the highest priorities so far:
1) Take Consistent Action
- Prayer
- Fasting
- Meditating on His Word
- Worship
- Giving

2) Operate with a Renewed Mind
- Positive mindset that is independent of circumstances
- Remember who I belong to, my value is not dependent on peer affirmation
- Be confident, not arrogant
- Reduce seeking worldly securities & leave room for God to show up (faith).
- Be unoffendable

3) Cultivate Key Relationships
- God
- Family
- Friends

Jesus walked in The Kingdom of God and was certainly a good steward of His time & resources. I'm aiming to do the same.
