AP: DA leading Trump case says rhetoric won’t intimidate office

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has assured his staff that the office will not be intimidated or discouraged as it approaches a verdict on whether to indict the former president, the Associated Press reported.

Late Saturday, Bragg circulated an internal memo to his staff, which came just hours after Trump’s three-part, all-caps social media post. Trump had expressed concerns about a possible arrest in the coming days, criticized the district attorney, and urged his supporters to demonstrate and “TAKE OUR NATION BACK!”

Although Bragg did not explicitly mention Trump by name, his reference was apparent in the internal memo. Bragg’s office has been summoning witnesses to a grand jury to investigate hush money payments made allegedly, on Trump’s behalf during his 2016 campaign.
