Mary stood at the foot of the cross, her heart heavy with grief as she watched her beloved son, Jesus, die. The sight before her was unbearable - Jesus' body was writhing in pain, his arms and legs stretched out on the wooden beams, nails driven through his hands and feet. His face was contorted in agony, and his breaths came in short, labored gasps.

Mary's eyes were fixed on Jesus, and she could not tear her gaze away from him. She wanted to reach out and comfort him, telling him that she loved him and everything would be alright. But she knew there was nothing she could do to ease his suffering.

As the minutes ticked by, Mary felt helpless and despair wash over her. Her mind raced with memories of Jesus' life - his birth, ministry, and miracles. She couldn't believe that it was all coming to an end like this.

Mary watched through tears as Jesus cried out, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." She felt a flicker of hope in her heart, knowing that even in his dying moments, Jesus was still filled with compassion and forgiveness.

But then, as the sky grew dark and the winds picked up, Mary knew the end was near. With a final gasp, Jesus cried out, "It is finished," and then he was gone.

Mary fell to her knees, her sobs echoing through the air. She cradled her son's lifeless body in her arms, knowing that her world would never be the same again.
