Trump's lawyer on the possible precedent being set:
"This will be the first time ever, if they do go ahead, that a former President has been indicted. Number two...somebody gets charged with being extorted because that is actually what happened. She wanted payments, hush money payments, this is somebody who creates a story, goes to the press, gets paid by his old attorney.
