Committing To And Landing On The Moon

President John F Kennedy committed to landing someone on the moon in the decade. He lead by casting a vision of something that had never before been accomplished but that was seen as a STRATEGIC GOAL FOR AMERICA. The science was not perfected yet. There was however enough of a foundation to believe the goal was bold but achievable.
