You Can't Take the Whole Oreo!
Occurred on March 15, 2023 / Kent, Washington, USA
Info from Licensor: "Norma has been visiting regularly for nearly the past four years in our backyard. I raised Norma from 5 weeks old and successfully released her when she was 8 months old; she will be 4yrs old this July 2023. On this day, I brought out a container of walnuts for her to devour, I also had 2 Oreo cookies that I was planning on eating while she enjoyed the walnuts. Once Norma jumped on my lap and saw the Oreos, she grabbed one and ran from my lap. She had never done this before and it took me by complete surprise. Normally, Norma will sit on my lap or shoulder to eat the walnuts. I didn't intentionally feed her the Oreo cookie or even thought she would to take it. I'm well aware of the health hazards of feeding wild animals junk food and, luckily, there were no ill side effects as Norma showed up the next day to enjoy only walnut snacks."
