Virtua Fighter Kids | Sega Saturn playthrough (JPN) | Real hardware

Virtua Fighter Kids is a fighting video game developed and published by Sega for the Sega Saturn console. It was released in 1996 and is a spin-off of the popular Virtua Fighter series. The game features super-deformed versions of the Virtua Fighter characters, with a more cartoonish and whimsical art style. The gameplay is similar to other Virtua Fighter games, with players engaging in one-on-one battles using a variety of martial arts moves and techniques. Virtua Fighter Kids also includes a variety of game modes, including arcade, versus, and team battle.

Review –

I have no idea why this game exists. The pitch must have been to sell Virtua Fighter to younger kids. I don’t see the difference except for the graphics. It seems like the same gameplay as Virtua Fighter, but with shorter limbs and no reach.
The other difference is that you can change the difficulty so it is ridiculously easy. No fake easy mode lie on all other beat em ups where you still get stuck on the impossible last boss. This easy mode makes it probably the easiest game I ever played. Not sure if the computer even tries to hit you.
This is slightly better than Virtua Fighter 1 but I played that recently and it is bloody awful.
