deviations anomalies in the signal-to-noise ratio as interference & or & 10hz frequency shifts drifts dopler out ignoring fluctuations of the of 10mhz carrier signal after skywave (refracted) propagation hops reflected off the Earth’s surface & the variable altitude ionosphere from Weak Signal Propagation Reporter data base at WSPRnet logs of a 1 watt transmitter in Switzerland received at Australia while checking HF radio propagation conditions that show a -110 dBm direct radio wave signal, a -210 dBm for a Forward Scatter interference & a -81 dB signal-to-noise ratio but -30 dB is needed for reliable WSPR logging & this was in the 10 Mhz range where more signal passes through an aircraft rather than gets reflected if below 50Mhz

while 1k watt plus bi-static radar for aircraft "detection" "works" if traveling less than about one-third of the way around the globe this is an incidental very low power version of it over a longer range, & all assumed to be blocked & distorted by specific Air craft , with only one short global WSPR path during the MH370 flight.

mixes HF ionosphere reflection & VHF/UHF aircraft reflection
he later said a 22 minute holding pattern never happened
BUT
it's within a 300km square area in the southern Indian Ocean
but the ionosphere can be as low as 50 km 30 miles

WSPR creator Joe Taylor (K1JT) said “I do not believe that historical data
from the WSPR network can provide any information useful for aircraft tracking.”
