B.A.D INTENTION is a sound system founded in Birmingham by myself Steven Francis aka Yardy in 1985 as a party sound. Cut our first dubplate in 1989 and over the year we have built up a very unique selection of dubplates to which still now many have not been played in public. Over the year many different individuals have been involved in the sound I just wanna say respect to everyone who has been part of the B.A.D INTENTION journey over the years from 1985 to 2020. At times over the years, many people have got the name B.A.D INTENTION wrong so I will like to take this opportunity to explain the B.A.D INTENTION name the B from the bad is for BLACK our colour the A from the bad is for AFRICA the motherland the D from the bad is for DOMINATION and that in our intention

New Sensation
1990 Wayne Irie has been selecting music on various sound systems from a very young age.
1975 Wayne had the crowd rocking with a sound called merritone,
In 1978 duke alloy sound recognise his talent & recruited Wayne Irie, Wayne achieved many trophies & gold disc, changing the name of the sound & people crowned it king alloy.
1989 Wayne went on to Canada selecting alongside Mikey soul, someone sounds from Malton Toronto, Canadians recognise his talent, and Wayne played amongst some of the Canadian greats, just to name a few, king turbo, soul to soul. also downbeat from NY (new york).
1990 return to England.
1991 the birth of new sensation sound, still going strong.
