A couple of months back, Lubalin was just another obscure local musician, dreaming of getting his music out to the world. Today he has 2.5 million followers on TikTok and his zany videos have been viewed on the ultra-popular social media platform over 70 million times.

The videos are what Lubalin has labelled “internet dramas.” He takes banal conversations he finds on social media and turns them into musical numbers. One is based on a woman complaining that another woman has stolen her broccoli casserole recipe. Another is about the problems encountered when you try to sell something online.
