HOW TO PLAY - THIRD INTERVAL (6TH STRING ROOTS)

QUESTION: Is it easier or harder to have the thirds above the root instead of at the same fret or below?

EXAMPLE: Depending on what you are playing or creating, it could definitely be harder.
