Is Merida really the safest city in Mexico?
Welcome back as we continue our 'Mexico Series'.
Today we venture out into Merida to find out what the city is all about.
Merida, population around 1.2 million people, is located in the South East part of Mexico in an area known as the Yucatan Peninsula. The city is said to be the safest in Mexico especially for tourism. The city is also located just a 4 1/2 hour drive from Cancun.
Near the city also lies many cenotes, as well as historic sites such as Chichen Itza.
