Rihanna is literally doing anything and everything she wants except for dropping more music. The Savage Fenty line creator has found herself at the source of a controversy regarding her latest Instagram post. The post features the singer in a pair of satin lavender Fenty shorts with some Popcaan lyrics as the caption, Topless Rihanna and some Popcaan music sounds like an elite combo baby the way. This is causing many to say this is cultural appropriation as the image of Ganesha is a holy and sacred figure for hindus.

The outrage comes from the fact she is also wearing a Ganesha neckpiece

This all comes after Rihanna tweeted in support of the farmer's protest taking in place in India, which received praise from some people but I guess this placed RihRih under the microscope. After Rihanna posted her picture many users on Twitter vocalized how they felt by tweeting things like

Please stop using my religion as your aesthetic... She is wearing a Hindu God half-naked. This is cultural appropriation. Our gods aren't for your aesthetics!

I kinda understand where they are coming from, Ganesha holds a very special sentiment to your culture, the same way that wearing cornrows or reclaiming racial slurs, or doing our hairs in certain styles can be very sacred to black people so don't worry we TOTALLY see where you're coming from

But cultural approbation can be an issue and people should be sensitive to others beliefs and religions don't worry I'm not trying to create a false equivalency, if anything I'm just upset there is no new Rihanna album, I just want new Rihanna music, remember when Rihanna made music, great times
