Khayri Mclean trial - bizarre text messages from 17 year old's mother

We will break down the messages by time. D (defendant) and DM (defendant's mum).
15.21pm - DM: "Answer the phone." The prosecution says this message follows on from the attempted call.
15.21pm -DM: "Where are you?"
15.21pm -D: "Hold on mum, the service is bugging."
15.21pm-D: "Why the hell do you keep asking me that?" The prosecution says this appears to be a response to the message "Where are you?"
15.22pm - DM: "I'm at the hospital at a hospital and [someone] rang asking where are you."
15.23pm - D: "Tell him I'm coming out of town."
15.23pm - DM: "WTH."

A further message read "text me" and then a blank message.
15.23pm - D: "I just did."
15.25pm - DM: "Where are you?"
15.26pm - DM: "A boy has been stabbed at Fartown. He's meant to be in a bad way."

Mr Hazel-Owram says while those messages are being exchanged at 15.26pm, an attempted call was made to the phone.
15.27pm - D: "Mum I'm leaving town near Tescos."
15.27pm - D: "So what then, it's me again is it?"
15.27pm - DM: "No hun, you're name isn't being called love."
15.27pm - DM: "Just wanna know youre stay" [prosecution say 'stay' is 'safe.']
15.28pm - D: "I'm safe mum don't worry."
15.28pm - DM: "Ok."
15.28pm -DM: "That's good to hear keep it that way." [heart emoji.]
At 15.30pm, another entry the court hears, is related to a call made from an unidentified number to the defendant's lasted over a minute.

At 15.47pm, Mr Hazel-Owram said a further call to the same number from an unidentified number lasts 1 minute and 26 seconds.
Two other timeline entries - at 15.53pm - relate to an attempted call and a text message from another number.
The court hears a voicemail is left from an unattributed number to the Nokia dropped by the 15-year-old.
Mr Hazel-Owram said at 15.21pm, a phone attributed to the 15-year-old received a call lasting 52 seconds, and another at 15.24pm for 39 seconds.

He said another call - this time outgoing - is made to an unidentified number and lasts 14 seconds.
At 15.25pm, the prosecution say a call was made from the number to that defendant's mother.
At 15.55pm, the court heard there was a call from the 17-year-old's mother's phone to her son's which connected.

Mr Hazel-Owram is now detailing messages between the two.

15.56pm - D: [Two heart emojis] A further message reads: "Did you say Khayri stabbed someone?"
15.57pm - DM: "I think you need to come in." This message was sent twice six seconds apart.
15.57pm - D: "WTH no."
15.58pm - D: "Why would I come in?"
15.58pm - D: "I've only just come out."
16.00pm - DM: "I don't want you being seen as involved."

The court has heard there was an incoming voice call at 16.00pm to the phone of the defendant.
16.01pm - D: "Mum don't worry man."
16.01pm - DM: "Please in bring all your friends."
16.01pm - DM: "Please come in."

The court has heard there were attempted calls between the 17-year-old's phone and an unattributed number.
16.02pm - DM: "PLEASE."
16.10pm - DM: "Inside where?"

The court has heard at 16.10pm, the defendant's phone received a call from another number for 42 seconds.
16.15pm - D: "My p*** friends' [person's name]."
16.16pm - DM: "Answer the phone."

Mr Hazel-Owram says that was followed at 16.17pm by an attempted call by her number to his.
16.17pm - D: "Hold on mum man."

There was another attempted call three seconds later from her phone to his.
The court heard there were a number of messages from the defendant's phone to his mother's in quick succession at 16.17pm. They were "BMT you actually," "Think I'm a baby," "Stop it mum," "FR I am not a baby" and "Stop it."
She replied: "When people are ringing me asking where you are...answer the f****** phone."
DM: "You are p****** me off."
16.18pm - D: "I'VE TOLD YOU."
16.18pm - D: "100 times where I am."
16.18pm - DM: "GO OUTSIDE AND CALL ME NOW."
16.19pm - D: "MUM GO AWAY FOR REAL I'M TURNING MY PHONE OFF BC YOU'RE REALLY ANNOYING ME DISTURBING MY PEACE EVERY TIME I GO OUT."

In another message he said: "For real now."
DM: "ONE OF YOUR ENEMIES HAS BEEN STABBED."
16.19pm - D: "Every time I go out you have something to say."
16.19pm - D: "You say I ruin your nights you ruin my day out every time."
16.19pm - D: "It's not even 10 o'clock"
16.19 - D: "And you're calling me."
16.21pm - DM: "Your enemy has been stabbed and it doesn't look good and you wanna turn your phone off. I swear if you don't call me and tell me where you are and who you're with I will take that as the biggest diss ever."

The prosecution says that message was fully in capital letters.
At 16.24pm, an attempted call from her phone to his was made
16.24pm - DM: "[Name] thinks you know more about what's happened because of how you act I'm sick of it."
At 16.25pm, the court heard his phone made a call to an unattributed number and the call lasted over three minutes.
16.28pm - DM: "Act f****** normal answer the phone say where you are and who you're with."
