How to Make Falafels

Ingredients:
1 can chickpeas, drained
1/2 large onion
1 tsp dry parsley
1/4 C fresh cilantro
1 tsp salt
4 cloves garlic
2 tsp cumin
1 tsp baking powder
4 TBSP flour

Directions:
Process ingredients: chickpeas, onion, parsley, cilantro, salt, garlic and cumin until blended but not pureed. Add and mix in baking powder and flour. Form into little balls and then flatten slightly. Chill for 1 hour in the fridge or 20 minutes in the freezer. Heat oil and fry falafels for 30 - 60 seconds per side. They are ready to flip when golden. Place on paper towel lined plate.
