We hear everywhere these days about the Shadow-self, so many books have been written on the topic and there are so many resources out there.

I wanted to focus today on the work on Carl G. Jung and James Hillman, two brilliant psychologists that were interested in exploring the mechanics of the human psyche.

Carl G. Jung was a very prolific Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who founded analytical psychology and created the bases and groundwork for the archetypal analysis and collective unconscious. Jung was the one that coined the term of the Shadow.

James Hillman was an American psychologist that met Carl Jung and then following in his footsteps, studied at the Jung Institute and founded the movement towards archetypal psychology.
