Shay and friends gather outside the cinema while they wait for their friend Mellissa who is late. They decide to enter without Mellissa and wait for her inside.

Rachel is upset because they had to leave the movie early due to Shay not coping with scary movies. They see a crime scene with a yellow tarp covering a body. They approach Detective Patterson, who tells them there’s been a shooting. The tarp reveals that the victim is Mellissa.

After two weeks with no progress on the m3rder case, Rachel proposes a seance to summon Mellissa's spirit. During the seance, objects snap, candles blow out, and a message appears on the mirror: "I'm here." They ask Mellissa's spirit about her ki1ler, when the phone rings suddenly, going to voicemail, they hear static noise and the name Jessie Hall, a notorious g*n-owning troublemaker in the area.

The girls anonymously call the police, knowing their method is unconventional to give a tip about Jessie Hall, and days later, Detective Patterson informs Shay that Jessie Hall confessed thanks to an anonymous tip.
