Congratulations to viewer Pranav Eswar for being the first person to catch an error in Puzzle 2 from yesterday’s edition of SOCP (03/16/2023)! The variation given actually allows a checkmate in 5 moves and not 6 as given in the solution. With correct play the puzzle still results in a 6 move checkmate but Black plays a different defense. Once again congratulations to Pranav for his tricky move that seal the deal a move earlier! I give both coverage in today’s edition of SOCP plus two new puzzles for you to solve.
