Kyle Shoberg: SURVIVING 4 POLICE SHOOTINGS, SWAT Cartel Busts, K9 Handling, Police Training, & EMDR

On this episode of The AUXORO Podcast, Kyle Shoberg and Zach discuss Kyle surviving the four officer-involved shootings he's been a part of, the reason he joined the police force, his time on the SWAT team spent eradicating cartel-run marijuana grow operations, becoming a K9 handler, the quality of current police training and how it can be improved, and how EMDR therapy helped Kyle process the trauma of being a police officer in lethal situations.

Guest Bio: Kyle Shoberg is a Sergeant in Northern California. He has 13 years of law enforcement experience and 7 years as a K9 Handler. In 2014 Kyle was assigned to the K9 unit where he currently serves. During his time in K9, Kyle works with the SWAT team and is POST certified in SWAT & K9 Interacting During Deployment (SKIDD). He is also one of the hosts of the 'Shots Fired Podcast,' and teaches a class called 'Surviving Deadly Encounters' designed to provide law enforcement officers with skills needed to survive a critical incident relating to an officer-involved shooting as well as being able to mentally and physically prepare themselves for such an encounter.
