Turkey to support Finland’s bid for NATO accession

Following a meeting with Finnish President Sauli Niinistö, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced they will back Finland’s NATO bid. Turkey is considered the main barrier hindering Finland from receiving NATO membership, as the Middle Eastern country previously alleged they harbored wanted fugitives.
