Day 22
Woke up at 7am
Left at 8:55 am Biked 39 miles to end, arrived 1:10pm
Left end place at 2ish arrived at airport 6:25 1.5 miles

Total miles: about 82 miles

It was actually not a bad sleep. I did wake up multiple times but it wasn't bad. We ate our breakfast inside the tent. Which was just the left over hummus and chips. We then packed up the tent and dropped it off at our friends friends house.
We biked 1 mile to go to McDonald's to use the restrooms.
After using the restroom we headed on our way. We thought this way was going to be easier then the other side but it was not. It started of quit hilly with lots if ups and downs and a slight wind. That was for the first 20 miles or so. We then hit the flat area and that wasn't any easier because of the fact that there was a very strong wind, we were going against.
When we finally got towards the end we had to go through some mud and dirt which we didn't really want to go through since we already had to do that on Oahu. But we did bike through it which wasn't bad.
The end point was very windy and there was some rain. We ate our lunch and took pictures and went a little farther on the beach. We headed out since it got colder and the wind was pretty strong. The sand was being blow pretty fast which did hurt a little. On the way back we stopped at one of those shower things to wash our bikes. I thought the way back would be a drag but it wasn't bad until the last 12 miles. It was probably fine because I new we were done when we got the the airport.
My knees actually started to hurt the day before and where hurting again today. So it seems like the combination of not getting enough sleep, the constant biking and not eating enough took its toll on my knees. I don't think it would have been good if I did anymore biking with out resting for a good bit. We biked to the airport and were pretty exhausted. But couldn't just sleep since we got here pretty early and our flight isn't exactly in the morning, but in the afternoon of the next day. So we organized our stuff and just sat relaxed, and did things on our phones waiting until 11 or so, to go to sleep.
It is nice to be done and to have accomplished what we put our minds to. Definitely have a lot to think about if we want to do something similar. Like what to bring and if we should use fold-able bikes. But overall a great experience.
