This is just a recap of the bike-packing trip that my brother and I did. We biked around the four main islands of Hawaii. Quit an adventure.

Trip schedule
Jan 20 bike 62 miles to Whittington beach park

Jan 21 bike 30 miles (4000 ft elevation) to Namakanipaio camp ground

Jan 22 no biking hung out with Preston and went on the chain of craters road to Holei Sea Arch (the arch was closed)

Jan 23 no biking (climbed Mauna Loa and drove up Mauna Kea)

Jan 24 hung out with Preston in the morning then biked 43 miles ( biked to random spot on the road to sleep)

Jan 25 bike to Laupahoehoe beach park 15 miles

Jan 26 biked 60 miles to another beach

Jan 27 biked 36 miles to Kekaha kai beach park

Jan 28 biked 12 miles left at 9:00am-12:30am

Jan 29 fly to Maui flight time 2:45pm -3:30pm
Drop off excess stuff and go to Costco to get more food.

Jan 30 bike to Waina Panapa state park (reservation) 48.9 miles

Jan 31 bike to the pool at Oheo check out Waiua falls bike to Kipahulu campground
13.6 miles

Feb 1 bike to Polipolispring state recreation area campground (reservation)
43.3 miles (not a good place to bike to, all up hill for 9 miles)

Feb 2 bike to Costco 27miles
bike to Mark's ( a nice guy we met at Costco) house to stay the night

Feb 3 bike to a camping place called Windmill, stopped at a public pool along the way

Feb 4 check out Nakalele blowhole
24.5 miles to 35 miles
Check out olivine pools on the way to the airport
Stay the night at the airport 33 miles

Feb 5
Pick up stuff at persons place before going to airport
fly to Oahu depart 7:15 pm arrive 7:55pm
Go to friends house
Bike 9 miles to friends house and stay the night.
Left a lot of stuff at friend’s house since we will be back here in 3 days

Feb 6 random spot 70 miles to a beach near the YMCA camp site
Checkout holona blow hole and makapu tidepooles

Feb 7 biked back to friends house

Feb 8 biked around Honolulu for the day
flight today at 8:30pm to Kauai
Slept the night at the airport in Kauai

Feb 9 dropped of our excess stuff and biked the first half of the island there and back.
bike to the end and back, stayed the night at a random grass spot

Feb 10 bike to the other side (Polihale state park) around 40 to 60 miles
Biked back to airport and spent the night at the airport

Feb 11 no biking packed all our stuff and flew home
