Day 19
Biked 53 miles
Biking time 8:16am to 3:51pm

We tried to sleep extra in the morning because we were pretty exhausted. But as usual it didn't work. Woke up at 6:30 and tried to go back to sleep but ended up getting out of the tent at 7am. The weather was nice so we ate our breakfast of oats and took down our tent. Since there was no restroom we biked to the YMCA camp which was like 2 miles away and used the restrooms there.
We started biking at 8:16am. It is actually good we did more miles the other day even though it exhausted us completely. This was because of the hard muddy trail we had to go through which took like 3 and a half hours to do. We almost turned back to go a different route which would mean we didn't go completely around, but decided to push through. The beginning part was so bad that our bike tires wouldn't move, because of the mud on them. But after figuring out how to maneuver through the trail, it it worked out.
The second half of the dirt path wasn't bad at all. It was just that first 2 to 3 miles that were bad. After getting around that point we stopped at a beach shower station and washed our bikes so that it would be easier to ride. The ride after that was pretty much entirely flat with slight hills. We even accidentally drove on the free way for a few miles which was dangerous. We first went to Costco and sat there wiped out. We bought some bread and peanut butter to eat for lunch. And pretty much relaxed for 2 or so hours discussing things. We then went to our friends house took some showers, ate some dinner, and played some games.
Overall today was an exciting day. It was tough at the beginning, then just plain tiring. But we completed 3 of the 4 islands so far.
