Day 13
45.5 miles
Biking time 8:36 am to 5:20 pm

We woke up at 7:20 this morning so that we could be refreshed for the rest of the day. We had a nice breakfast of oats, chia seeds, and honey. We filled up on water since you never know where you can get water. We left the camp in good spirits. But the riding got rough early on. We couldn't go fast because of the roads conditions. It did become a nicely paved road. But there was a lot of ups and downs. A lot more ups. We became exhausted very early on because of the terrain. We did take a lot of pictures on the way.
When we finally reached the bottom of the mountain that led up to our campsite. It was tough to want to go the 9.6 miles up and out of the way. We did continue, it was very tough right at the beginning, we had to walk a little with the bike because it was very risky. The front wheel came of the ground occasionally. We went like 3 miles on the bike and became completely wasted, we had to start walking. This was taking a long time and we were running out of time.
Luckily a nice guy in a black truck came by and we asked for a ride since he was going the same way. The drive was a workout by itself. But we were very lucky that he came along otherwise it would have taken an extremely long time. After he dropped us of we still had like 3.6 miles to go. It started to get cold, our feet and hands became numb.
We got to the campsite and put on some warm clothes. Unfortunately there was no drinkable water. I asked the other campers and they gave us 4 bottles of water which was a life saver. We had some dinner of beans, fish jerky, and peanut butter with apple.
We went into our sleeping bags early to try and get warm and get a good rest.
