The Four Seasons by Vivaldi: An Unforgettable Musical Journey
Join John Harrison, a renowned violinist, and Robert Turizziani, conductor of the Wichita State University Chamber Players, in an unforgettable live performance of Antonio Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons". Recorded on February 6th, 2000 at the Wiedemann Recital Hall, Wichita State University, this unedited performance captures the essence of Vivaldi's Baroque masterpiece. Composed in 1723 and published in 1725, "The Four Seasons" is Vivaldi's best-known work and is among the most popular pieces of Baroque music. The concertos, each named after a season, are each in three movements, with a slow movement between two faster ones. Vivaldi's original arrangement for solo violin with string quartet and basso continuo helped to define the form. Don't miss out on this musical journey through the seasons, featuring the talented musicians of the Wichita State University Chamber Players.
