Cheap Cedar Fence Picket Bird House | Shop Noise

In this video I build a bird house out of a single 1x6x6' cedar fence picket - without any measuring! By using pieces of a build you can often avoid ever pulling out a measuring tape. I bought the fence picket from my local Menards for $3.97 and after building the bird house I had roughly 1.5' leftover. So you could maybe get three bid houses out of 2 planks or make this same bird house but taller. Even though I used a miter saw and air nailer in this build, you could easily switch to a hand saw and hammer if you're just starting out on a tight budget or prefer hand tools. I also used a drill press but that was unnecessary and it's completely feasible to switch to a drill.
