When These Things Happen: Exegeting Deuteronomy 4:30–31

In the Biblical book of Deuteronomy Moses gives instructions for people that will be living in his distant future. He tells them what to do when they are facing the consequences of betraying God by worshiping foreign gods. For Christians this story illustrates the grace that God affords his people.
