Multiple agencies, including the hazmat are on scene to a BNSF freight train derailment in Anacortes, Washington. The incident occurred around midnight, causing the release of an estimated 5,000 gallons of diesel fuel. The Two locomotives, each with a fuel capacity of up to 3,500 gallons, overturned. Most of the spilled fuel was contained within a berm, with the majority leaking onto the land side of the tracks.
