Professional footballer Siphamandla Mtolo (29) dies suddenly during training

MARCH 7, 2023. South African professional soccer player Siphamandla 'Spepe' Mtolo (29) died suddenly during training. According to co-coach Vasili Mousakis, Mtolo had no history of medical issues and was training as normal.

He was captain for Richards Bay Football Club which competes in the South African Premiere Division, the country's top soccer league.
