4. Is God good or just a hypocrite?

How can a good God allow suffering evil and death in the world? Perhaps God is not so good at all. How can we judge if God is good? The only basis for making a moral judgement is to have a moral law by which to make a moral judgement. As people we all have our own opinions and preferences as to what is right and what is wrong. We know some things are right and some are wrong but the specifics we differ on. We must look outside ourselves in order to find a sufficient basis, standard, for a moral law. For there to be a moral law there must be a moral law giver and that must be the Creator who has spoken. Otherwise we are just left with meaningless personal preference and opinions.
So, we are stuck with judging God by his own standard as there is no other standard by which to judge him.
There are many misunderstandings about God and his interaction with people through history. I try to explain the main issues and show that God is good, just, truthful and merciful.
In the end God demonstrates his love towards us in that while we were still his enemies he deals with our corruption and treachery by giving his own life for us. He loves his enemies. That is real, true love. God is amazingly good. He is no hypocrite.
