When a leader feels the need to remind you often that you can, should, must trust them, it is often because they feel like they have something to hide. It can also be they don’t trust you at all and subconsciously they desire to build trust by expressing trustworthiness - almost a form of positive reinforcement as an affirmation. Either way, the consistent need to verbalize trustworthiness should be over shadowed by acts of true integrity.
