Two police officers have been praised for saving the life of a woman whose medial emergency while driving led to the discovery of a brain tumor.

Police officers Aton and Schoonmaker from South Carolina, USA, responded to a report of a possible drunk driver later identified as Tamara Palmer on 2nd of December 2022.

Officer Schoonmaker reportedly spotted the Palmer failing to keep the vehicle on its lane and pulled it over for drunk driving.

Upon making contact with the driver the officers noticed that she continuously complained of a headache, despite not appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Suspecting a medical issue, the officers called for an ambulance.

Palmer was later found to have a brain tumor, which was discovered during the hospital visit that followed.

She then underwent an eight-hour-long surgery.

In a follow-up call to the police department on19th February, 2023, Palmer expressed her gratitude to the officers, stating that they had "absolutely saved her life."

She told them that without their quick-thinking and attention to detail, the outcome could have been much different.

Reports claimed that Palmer is currently recovering well.
