Combat work of engineer-sapper units of the Airborne Troops

◽️ There is no movement of Russian units without engineering reconnaissance. Whether it is a redeployment, a patrol or a humanitarian convoy movement.

💣 While withdrawing, the nationalists were retreating, and they mined the roads. Russian sappers find many anti-tank and land mines along the roads every day. The ones that cannot be extracted are destroyed on the spot. This time, anti-tank mines were found on a road where Russian tanks were moving to support the advancing airborne assault units.

💥 Thanks to Russian paratroopers' fearless, skilful and competent actions, the mines were defused by detonation on the spot. The road for our tanks was open, allowing the units to reach the target area in good time and to support the advancing paratrooper units with fire from the sheltered positions.

💪🏻 UR-77 self-propelled demining system, known as Zmey Gorynych, carries two powerful charges. Moving out behind the tanks, the system approached the minefield. Bypassing the tank ahead, which was covering the demining unit and controlling the perimeter, UR-77 struck and, with a powerful blast, made a wide gap in the mine barriers, thus opening the way for the advancing airborne units.
