In this video, I discuss the strategies used by governments and central banks to prevent currency and bond holders from fleeing the currency and escaping monetary debasement.

This includes Executive Order 6102 and the Gold Reserve Act of 1934, prohibitions on holding stronger fiat currencies like the US dollar in Argentina, stuffing financial institutions to the gills with government debt like US Treasuries through regulatory requirements, as well as Operation Chokepoint 2.0 which seems to be going after crypto and Bitcoin banking on-ramps.

Unlike brokerage and bank accounts, Bitcoin cannot be seized en masse or bailed-in-- which puts it beyond government control and financial repression.

I also discuss how the fiat financial system makes it much easier for governments to fund wars without explicitly raising taxes.
