Imagine being 16 or 17 and moving to New York by yourself and living in a crappy apartment with 8 other people. And you pay through the nose for it. I don’t think I could have navigated Tokyo as teenager and find my casting!

3. All the rejection. Everyone in your normal life thinks you are awesome, but you go to casting after casting where people find you not good enough. This assumes you even made it to the level of finding a good agency that sends you on castings.
