Florida Cops Prevent Man's Suicide Attempt After 25-Minute Negotiation

Deputies successfully apprehended a man who attempted suicide by overdose and armed himself with a knife after negotiating with him for 25 minutes.

The Volusia Sheriff's Office received a call about a man who had attempted suicide by overdose at his residence on Old Kings Road in Daytona Beach, in the US state of Florida on 3rd March.

When they arrived at the scene, the man had armed himself with a knife and was refusing to come out of the house.

The deputies attempted to negotiate with the man for over 25 minutes, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

At that point, a team of deputies, including their sergeant and chief deputy, decided to move in quickly and take the subject into custody.

Thanks to their quick thinking and teamwork, the deputies were able to apprehend the man without any injury to him or themselves.

The suspect was then transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The man's condition is currently unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.

However, the deputies' bravery and quick action in resolving the situation are being praised by the local community.
