This is the dramatic moment when police officers arrest two suspects - one wanted for murder - during a drug bust.

The suspects - later identified as Jamiequev Andrews and Kenneth Rashad Hill - were arrested after investigators witnessed suspicious activity in a neighbourhood in Atlanta, in the US state of Georgia on 24th February.

While patrolling the area, officers noticed two males engaging in illegal narcotics activity near 215 Forsyth St. SW.

Upon approaching the suspects, one of the men discarded what appeared to be crack-cocaine on the ground in plain sight.

The officers detained Andrews and Hill as they discovered the two were in possession of crack-cocaine and marijuana.

One of the suspects also had a firearm on his person, which he attempted to throw away during the arrest.

However, officers were able to safely retrieve the weapon.

Andrews and Hill were both charged with multiple narcotics violations.

Andrews had two out-of-jurisdiction warrants for burglary and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, while Hill had two outstanding warrants for possession of methamphetamine and homicide.

Further investigation led to the discovery of several tools, including vehicle keys and crowbars, believed to be used for committing burglaries.

The swift actions of the Zone 5 Field Investigations Team resulted in the arrest of two repeat offenders with active criminal warrants.
