When I told my colleagues I was going back to school to be a nurse practitioner many told me “don’t do it, it’s oversaturated” . I’ve never been one to be deterred by the naysayers so I decided to go to school anyway. In this video I discuss if I think the field of nurse practitioner is oversaturated. I also discuss the job outlook for registered nurses and for nurse practitioners from 2018 to 2028. The job outlook is the projected percent change in employment from 2018 to 2028. The average growth rate for all occupations is 5%.
