Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) also affects adults.
Adults with ADHD may exhibit inattention, impulsiveness, and hyperactivity.

The DSM-V did away with the diagnosis of ADD and now groups attention deficit disorder into three sub groups:

1. Combined presentation
2. Predominantly inattentive presentation
3. Predominantly hyperactive/impulsive presentation

🧠 In order to be diagnosed with ADHD, symptoms must usually be present prior to age 12
🧠 There is clear evidence that symptoms interfere with or reduce the quality of social, academic, or occupational functioning
🧠 The symptoms do not occur during the course of a psychotic disorder and are not better explained by another mental disorder
