In this video I cover whether or no you need to swab vial tops. I made this video because when I was precepting a new graduate nurse I noticed she did not swab the vial top. When I asked her to she said she didn't have to because the vial tops were sterile. I figured if she thought this then perhaps others have thought this as well in the past. Let's keep our patients safe and free from healthcare associated infections. 💕
