Charting a Metallic World: The NASA Psyche Mission

The NASA Psyche Mission will explore Psyche, a unique metallic asteroid that offers insight into planet formation. Launching in 2022 and led by Principal Investigator Lindy Elkins-Tanton, the spacecraft will study the asteroid for 21 months using a high-power solar electric propulsion chassis provided by Maxar Technologies.
