Absurd comments from David Sacks. His statement that if it were Farmers getting a bailout, rather than Techies, US citizens wouldn't have an issue with it is just BS spin. The law states that government will reimburse bank deposits for a "maximum" of 250k dollars. We are angry that the laws that apply to everyone else suddenly doesn't apply to bank deposits on SVB. If an individual needs to bank more than 250k, they use another bank (or by a different asset). That's the way it's supposed to work. Considering the way government treats average citizens, laws don't mean much of anything these days.
