What is a cassette Daddy? That was the question Zac asked on this episode of Daddy and The Big Boy. Ben shows the McCain Brothers' cassette Three Little Words while sitting in their 2003 Lincoln Towncar. The album was recorded in Nashville in 1984. Marshall Morgan was the producer and engineer. Award winning musicians Eddy Bayers, Joe Osborn, Steve Gibson, Larry Sasser and Paul Worley were some of the pickers. The song Sugar Shack was mentioned in Billboard (November 17, 1984) and the album on the Rise and Shine label was recommended. Jim Hulsey of Oklahoma City was the photographer. Jimmy Gilmer and The Fireballs recorded Sugar Shack in 1963 at Norman Petty Studios in Clovis, New Mexico. It hit No. 1 on Billboard for 5 weeks. Keith McCormack of Plainview, Texas wrote the song with help from his aunt Faye Voss and Jimmy Torres. The song was featured in the movie Forrest Gump and other films. Daddy and The Big Boy began production in Los Angeles in March 2020 when Californians were ordered to stay home. The McCain family moved to Tennessee in June 2021. Daddy and The Big Boy hope to entertain, inspire and inform. Please subscribe and give us a thumbs up.
