- A pre-install script was found in zoom and used in the Zoom MacOS version (Felix Seele from VMRay);
- FBI issued a warning on Zoom;
- Citizen Lab in 2020 found out:
- Zoom used fragile (easy to hack) encryption, not AES-256;
- Zoom reroute its communication data back to Beijing;
- Zoom’s applications development is in Communist China, and the application’s design in Communist China has to obey the CCP’s regulations, laws, and order
- The key to the encryption has to be escrowed to the CCP’s institutions.
- Zoom getting a huge amount of money from the CCP, and Zoom’s development plan (making it mainstream, i.e. over 50% market share and making people reliant on Zoom, in the West) a part of the CCP’s Agenda.
The development plan was approved by CCP General Secretary Xi, Former CCP’s Vice President Wang Qishan, and the CCP’s Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi.
