Heeling tips and troubleshooting

Head trainer Courtney breaking down just one of the MANY “tricks” we have up our sleeve to get dogs into a better heel. Especially if you have a dog that is a known forger and is always pushy on the walk.

We sometimes get creative and use walls, cars, and fences to create a barrier to help us out. It gives the dog less wiggle room to try and push forward, and then we eventually phase it out just like anything else.

This is not the ONLY way, but it’s certainly one more tool to add to your box.

And If you haven’t joined in already— we hosted a LIVE mastering the walk class last week! We showed you step by step how we train a rock solid heel with a brand new dog. It’s our best walk class yet! And you can still grab the replays for a limited time!
