Look Respectable for Others

It turns out that many of us don't care to look respectable for our own sake, which is why, when it becomes socially acceptable to wear pajama pants, sandals, and an old t-shirt in public, so many people do it.

Looking respectable was never about ourselves. That's why it falls apart so easily when you leave it up to us. It's about other people, and it always has been. But nobody cares about other people anymore - let alone themselves in any serious manner - and that's truly why it has fallen apart. The reason to look presentable is to respect the public sphere. What public sphere, you ask? Exactly.

Don't contribute to the degradation of our society. It needs your help.
