Trump JUST Went NUCLEAR on Ron DeSantis

The 2024 election season is rapidly getting underway, and former President Donald Trump is in the headlines for tearing into Republican Governor Ron DeSantis (who has yet to declare his presidential campaign).
According to The Hill:
"Former President Donald Trump lashed out at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Monday, using his 2024 debut speech in Iowa to rehash his longtime 2020 campaign claims and attack his would-be political rival days after the Florida Republican made an appearance in the Hawkeye State.
In a campaign event in Davenport that was billed by Trump’s campaign as an address on education policy, the former president appeared preoccupied by just about anything other than America’s schools.
To be fair, Trump did attack the woke ideology that public schools are pushing on students. If reelected, he promised to “bring parental rights back into our school system” because “what they’re teaching in schools today is insane.” At one point, Trump bragged about his work to “save” the ethanol industry, a major component of Iowa’s economy, and he criticized DeSantis’ record in Congress when voting to remove funding for the agricultural industry."
Such criticisms compound with a recent campaign video where Trump states that Florida was doing quite well before DeSantis even became governor. Here is what Trump said earlier:
"For those of you that didn’t notice, Florida was doing great long before Ron DeSanctus got there. People are fleeing from New York to Florida and other places because of high taxes and out-of-control crime -- it’s really bad -- not because of the governor. . . . Florida was doing fantastically. You had a governor named Rick Scott who did a very good job. Even Charlie Crist, the Democrat, did a good job, but he had very good numbers. Sunshine and ocean are very alluring. It’s not too hard to work with those factors."
Did you catch that jab? Not only did he provide a new moniker for the governor, but Trump also said that even a Democrat governor did a noteworthy job in Florida. In other words, he’s saying DeSantis is just riding the coattails of successful governors before him – even a Democrat one at that. But if that is how the voters see it is the question.
Also, on today’s broadcast, we celebrated our massive legal victory over the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. The federal institution recently harassed and kicked out Christian students for wearing pro-life beanies. Now the Museum has agreed to enter a consent order and preliminary injunction, which is a court order that forbids the institution from targeting pro-lifers again.
This development is a huge victory for both pro-life advocates and free speech. No one should ever experience discrimination for their religious views in a federal museum (or anywhere, for that matter, in America). Because of the diligent work of the ACLJ’s legal team in this case, the rights of pro-life Christians are yet again affirmed in the court of law.
Today's full Sekulow broadcast includes further analysis of all these topics. We discuss some other comments by Trump as well as Ron DeSantis’ campaign strategy. Is there even a guarantee that he will run during this election cycle?
