Creating Wildlife Corridors | A Buffalo Field Campaign and Montana Department Transportation Project

This video shows the latest Buffalo Field Campaign project, which was assisted by the Montana Department of Transportation. The project was meant to create wildlife corridors to help the buffalo get off the highway quicker. Our focus was on the next bison migration to their birthing grounds on Horse Butte this Spring north of West Yellowstone, Montana. Currently, the snow walls that exist along highway 191 are up to six feet tall, making it almost impossible to cross. We shoveled snow for two days to create these tunnels, to help both Buffalo and our community.
