PROOF the Vietnam War was Started from a LIE. Profit From The Past - August 4, 1964

On August 7 1964, Congress passed the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution giving President Lyndon Johnson the greenlight to launch the Vietnam war. But it was all based on a coordinated lie.

The USS Maddox was besieged by a flotilla of Vietnamese PT boats on August 4, 1964.
Through a monstrous squall, the destroyer reported automatic-weapons fire, more than 20 torpedo attacks, sightings of torpedo wakes, enemy cockpit lights, and searchlight illumination.

And in response, the Maddox destroyer called in as back-up, fired 250 5-inch shells, 123 3-inch shells, and half a dozen depth charges.

There was just one problem…

The enemy they were fighting was a figment of the crew’s collective imagination.

Nevertheless, word of the attack spread, despite a hasty correction from the ship’s captain John Herrick. And when the NSA passed its report on to President Lyndon Johnson, they manipulated the intelligence to suggest the attack was real.
